the story of dflp is first and foremost a story about friendship. born and raised in different cultures, we met on Instagram ten years ago.
first eager to create images and share them online, we soon discovered how enriching online interactions could be. posting was an opportunity for each of us to share ideas, while the comments section offered a chance to spark human connections and experience emotions together.
over the years however Instagram, like other platforms, has traded intention for content turning our "damn I love it! " into "nah, I don't feel like posting...". dflp is a way for us to take back the pleasure of sharing images with one another in a publicly accessible space.
we believe in the community-based, slow and mindful web. dflp is based on are.na's API, and its code is open source.
