the story of dflp is first and foremost a story about friendship. we are born and raised in different cultures, and met each other on instagram a decade ago.
initially we were simply enthusiastic about creating aesthetic images and looking for a place to share them.
soon however, we discovered how rich and exciting online interactions could be. posting was an opportunity for each of us to share ideas, while the comments section offered a chance to experience emotions together and create human connections.
over the years, instagram, just like other platforms, has drifted from a simple tool into a complex and overwhelming one. the free space it used to offer has been flooded with information, and its purpose distorted by countless ads and features.
dflp is a way for us to reclaim the pleasure to share images with one another in a publicly accessible space.
